The Extraordinary Ordinary

Lately I’ve been experiencing a greater sense of connection within and without, that background of peace and happiness permeating daily life, whether alone or with people in public, or with the online group, or just anytime into life, and at the same time the wind going out of the sails of projects like writing a book, or philosophical essays… I was a little concerned…

This phrase came to me as I was laying down for a nap, and the heart knew it to be true: “Be ordinary, and just live.”

Opened the book Eternity Now, by Francis Lucille, at “random”:

“…The energies coming from our center, which until now we’re dispersed in the search for objects, have lost their external goals. They keep flowing back to their source until we find ourself to be what we are seeking” ~ Francis Lucille, p.114

Do we really need to prove anything? To who? For what? Do we really need to get anywhere “in life”? No.

The simplicity of life becomes self-evident when you stop listening to the mind (so seriously that is!)…

A lot of fuss and bother and this underlying sense of need to seek or run (from or into the past or future), is from a fear of death lurking in the background somewhere.

But if you never were born, then you never die. Awareness simply Is.

This morning friend sent me this:

“One of my favorite things that Jesus said,I AM, Before Abraham was.”

Looking in the Gospel of Thomas, that non-canonical fount of wisdom, I found this beautiful quote:

(77) Jesus said, “It is I who am the light which is above them all. It is I who am the all. From me did the all come forth, and unto me did the all extend. Split a piece of wood, and I am there. Lift up the stone, and you will find me there.”

And of course it’s about Consciousness, the Self, the I AM, Reality… whatever you want to call “it”, the object-less presence that is that which sees, hears, feel, touches… but cannot itself be seen, heard, felt, touched…
